Chris Morgan acted as the shareholder's representative for Billiton, overseeing flora and fauna impact assessments on three mining developments in Western Australia including Worsley bauxite mine and Boddington gold mine in Perth.

An aspect of particular importance was conducting activity in a highly contagious area suffering from ‘forest dieback disease’, which necessitated the establishment of a wash down area for vehicles and staff to avoid spreading the disease to other areas of Australia.
