Description

CMA conducted an environmental baseline study of a new bauxite mine and facilities at Bakhuis in western Suriname. Chris Morgan led a team carrying out a full Feasibility Study for joint clients Alcoa and BHP Billiton. The work included a complete appraisal of the environmental and social impacts of the new mine, processing facilities, railroad, port facilities, stockpiles, staff accommodation and barging arrangements to ship the bauxite to Alcoa’s alumina refinery at Paranam, near Paramaribo, the capital of Suriname.
