Description
Under a World Bank contract, CMA lead a team of experts advising Nigeria’s Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) on Metals Policy in order to provide a framework for privatisation of the State's interests in an alumina refinery and iron and steel works.
In addition, the work involved recommendations to improve mining law and regulations, environmental law and other legal structures/entities associated with the mining sector in Nigeria and associated institutional strengthening concepts, including the establishment of a ‘one-stop shop' for investors.
