CMA staff conducted an Environmental & Social Impact Assessment for a major oil shale development project in Tarfaya, Morocco on behalf of Shell International Petroleum.

The work entailed archaeological appraisals of ancient desert graveyards and assessment of the project on an international coastal wetland site falling under the Kamsar Convention.
