Description

Acting on behalf of Shell/Billiton, Christopher Morgan directed environmental and community impact reviews and reporting associated with the new Bogosu Gold mine development in Ghana.

Data gathering and reporting spanned two years and resulted in a positive investment decision to develop the mine. Shareholders included Billiton as managers, World Bank/IFC, The Ghanaian Government and a junior Canadian mining company. The mine continues to operate successfully at around 125,000 oz/yr.
