CMA was selected to support a major due diligence review of a new gold mine development in the Kamchatka Peninsular, Eastern Russia, on behalf of Standard Bank.

In particular, CMA was asked to review and compare environmental, health and safety aspects against the Equator Principles. Specific issues to consider in the region included a high degree of seismicity, volcanoes, tourism, fish spawning grounds and proximity to a State National Park.
