Description
CMA submitted an Expression of Interest to the Ministry of Energy and Mines for a World Bank-sponsored Mineral Resources Governance Project on the advice of the commercial officer at the British Embassy in Antananarivo.
The work included:
- Mineral policy definition and legal drafting to pass through parliament
- Mining sector reviews and promotional documents
- Effective institutional restructuring
- Comparative analysis of legal frameworks relating to minerals development
- Advising on appropriate legal and fiscal frameworks and supporting regulations to promote a transparent, effective and competitive Mining Code
