Currently involved with major company as regional geological consultant for the Middle East. 1996 -1998 Shell China Rijswijk, The Netherlands Upstream consultant and exploration adviser for activities in China. 1994 - 1996 Shell EP International Ventures,The Hague, The Netherlands Managing Director Shell Tulpar Development (exploration in Kazakhstan) and Shell’s exploration adviser in OKIOC (Offshore Kazakhstan International Oil Company), closely involved with the discovery of the giant Kashagan oil field. 1989 - 1993 Shell International Petroleum,The Hague, The Netherlands Regional exploration geologist, initially for global deep-water areas and subsequently to develop a business development strategy for the territory of the Former Soviet Union. 1986 - 1989 Shell Nigeria, Lagos, Nigeria Corporate review geologist and prospect evaluator in charge of the renewal of all of Shell Nigeria’s production licences, leading to a substantial equity increase. 1981 - 1985 Sarawak Shell Berhad, Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia Team geologist integrated Sarawak Team responsible for the exploration and appraisal of several major hydrocarbon accumulations and acquisition of new acreage. 1977 - 1981 Shell Tunirex, Tunis, Tunisia Exploration and operations geologist of green field deep-water acreage in the Straits of Sicily, leading to significant oil discoveries.
