Eur Ing Jan Dharmabandu , MIMM, MAusIMM is a chartered engineer with specialist skills in a)economic and operations modeling for mine planning, technical audits and restructuring requirements, b) mine planning and design. He has extensive international experience as a senior projects engineer in open pit mining and has involved in studies with IT application for the mining industry such as e-commerce, resource planning and asset management methods. After graduation he worked for Dominion Mining Limited in their numerous gold operations located in Western Australia. Then he went to West Africa undertaking the position as principal mining engineer for Golden Shamrock Mines Limited, managing the projects works for their Siguiri (Guinea) and Iduapriem (Ghana) operations. He was then based in London as an independent mining consultant working on major projects with Mine d’or de Salsigne in France and IMC Mackay & Schnellman in London. He joined WS Atkins Consultants in August 1998 and left them in October 2001 to work in Kazakhstan as an advisor to the Projects and Construction Division of D.A. Kanaev Mining Institute and to set up an independent mining consulting company. His company is linked with CMA Ltd. for the development of new business in the Central Asian Region.
